This one was a ton of fun to do! Nick True from Mapped out Money and I teamed up to share how a couple frugal dudes like us spend BIG. We both like quality gear and experiences, so how do we make sure we're not going overboard?
HUGE thanks to Nick for doing this with me, it was a blast! Hope y'all enjoy it too!
First things first! Go HERE to see the video on Nick's channel.
The process Nick and I follow is simple, and designed to give us max value. DISPROPORTIONATE value! Let's cut to the takeaways:
1. Know your budget.
It's pretty self explanatory, if you can afford it - great, if not - less great. But not being able to afford it is temporary, and leads to...
2. Think about it.
There's more to whether you can afford it now or not. If you can, the big question of: "do I really want this?" remains. Nick and I believe if you're getting something, then YOU should be getting a most out of it.
If you're going to get bored of it, won't really use it, don't need it, then why spend YOUR money on it.
3. Enjoy it!
Here's the thing. We all buy things we end up not getting the most out of, so why be upset about it? I believe it becomes a real loss when I don't make the effort. It may not be perfect, but it's better than nothing!
Short notes this week, this thing is going up very soon, and there's a LOT GOING ON HERE! New website goes out next week, I bought a course (which, I will certainly be enjoying and getting every drop of value I can from), and WEEKLY videos. That's right. It's gonna happen.
Lots planned, lots to do... Oh, and I'm going to Maine for a few days next week!
